Duplicitous Access is concerned with how architecture can subvert ways we view displayed art and artifacts. Here, objects of display appear in view from juxtaposing programs, without allowing the observer a clear idea on how to access the displayed object. For example, one can view an artifact from a reading room or the lobby or even the restroom, while the displayed object exists in a different space. Visually, these displayed objects are discovered or aligned into view with the aid of optical illusions that prompt the observer to snap the illusion in place.
